BBB North Alabama Decatur Community Fraud Event

BBB North Alabama will host a free Community Fraud Prevention Event on Thursday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cook Museum of Natural Science in Decatur. The event is open to the public and will feature expert speakers, including Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett, sharing practical tips and resources to help attendees safeguard themselves and their loved ones from identity theft, common scams, and financial fraud.

From phishing emails and text message scams to investment fraud and identity theft, today’s criminals are constantly adapting their tactics. This educational session will provide attendees with up-to-date information on emerging threats, warning signs to watch for, and steps they can take to reduce their risk of becoming a victim.
The event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and learn directly from professionals who work in consumer protection, financial education, and fraud prevention.

Lunch will be provided at no cost for all registered attendees.

Registration is required, as seating is limited. The deadline to register is Monday, July 13.
