April 28 – May 2
It’s a Prize Mash-Up for Trivia winners this week – restaurant gift cards, concert tickets and more! Different prize every day!

Imagine driving down the highway, you look at the Semi truck in the lane next to you and there’s no one in the driver seat. Crazy, right?
That scenario will be happening on 1-45 in Texas… between Dallas and Houston…..in just days.
Trucking companies have been testing it for several years, but always with backup safety drivers in the cab. Now, Aurora
Innovation, says it plans to go completely driverless at the end of the month. The company will start with just one Semi and gradually expand over time…barring any issues of course. I mean what could go wrong?! Safety and less jobs are two concerns…but there’s also the problem of dealing with more to haul and a driver shortage. If everything goes well in Texas…driverless Semi companies will expand to the Sunbelt…and yes that means us.

- Congratulations to our friend DeMarco McClain at Bank Independent who was named area president for Madison
County. Not only does Bank Independent sponsor the Mix 96.9 studio…. they also make a huge difference in our community through all of their outreach programs. Congratulations DeMarco - Dinos broke a Guinness World Record recently by balancing 468 wine glasses on his head while dancing. He performed the Dance of the Glasses routine. The previous record was 319 wine glasses.
- A couple recently went viral for sending out edible wedding invites made of bread. Jazmin and Miguel used custom loaves stamped with their wedding logo. The edible invites ended up costing less than traditional paper invitations.
- And you are all invited to join Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle for the 16th annual Mayors Bike Ride. It’s this Saturday, 11am, starting at Big
Spring Park. It’s a family friendly 4 mile bike ride to promote wellness.
