July 14 – 18
In honor of National Ice Cream Day on July 20th, Abby & Bill have $25 gift cards to Handel’s Ice Cream!

Most of us early risers….enjoy a cup of Joe every morning, and some of us even add a little milk or cream…that’s a pretty popular option. But enjoying a cup of Kaffeost is what’s becoming more and more popular in Sweden. Kaffeost is cup of coffee using a whole different kind of dairy…Cheese. Yep…you drop in a few chunks of cheese, and let them soak for a few seconds to absorb all that coffee flavor. That way can eat the cheese and have your coffee too. They say the type of cheese used is a little sweeter than most…so it’s just like cream…or NOT.

- A 13 year old hero…recently rescued an 11 year old boy who had fallen into the river. Gauge found the child underwater, held him above water, and performed chest compressions until
firefighters took over….saving his life. - Then we have Lulu…the family dog who saved her entire family by waking them up during a house fire. The fire destroyed most of the home…but thanks to Lulu the family survived.
- Panera has released a limited-edition “Mac and Cheese Lip Balm” duo. It’s quite fitting since today is National Macaroni and Cheese Day. The balms are infused with nourishing vitamin E and have a spoon-shaped applicator.
- And it’s time for another Concerts in the Park at Big Spring Park tonight. Grab your lawn chairs and enjoy a free performance by The Nerve and Jed Eye. There will also be food trucks, and it starts at 6:30.
