A vintage vampire hunting kit recently caused a bidding war. This very unique item was discovered by an antique store and they say it’s from the mid-1800s. The kit comes in a wooden violin-shaped box, with a red interior, and contains two wooden stakes, a large mallet, a crucifix, a Belgian pistol, a prayer book, and a
glass bottle for holy water.  The craziest piece is the dagger
topped with a carved zombie priest holding a mallet. Rust spots
on the dagger are rumored to be blood.  Dozens of anonymous
bidders pushed the final selling price to $3,000.

  • It’s hard to believe this is real, but there’s a BABY going viral, who knows the quarterbacks for all the NFL teams. The young boy is 17 months old and they basically put out little helmets for each team…mom randomly picks one up and he nails it. It’s amazing.

  • A dozen Labrador puppies from the same litter just got back together with their mom and dad to celebrate their first birthday.  The puppies owners have stayed connected, an all 12 pups returned for a party together.  They even had dog-friendly cake and party hats.

  • Huntsville Mom Prom is back! Rocket city Starlets invites you to this ladies only event on November 14, at Stovehouse!  Proceeds benefit The PJR Collective and victims of domestic violence in our
    community.

  • And the Miracle League of Madison is hosting Ride & Roll Rally this Saturday. Starts at 4 at Palmer Park and includes live music, food trucks, vendors, kids activities and more. Proceeds benefit the
Miracle League of Madison…providing inclusive recreation
opportunities for individuals of all abilities.

About Abby:

Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.

Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!

About Bill:

Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!

Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!

As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.

When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
