A new Bridal shoe is making the rounds in the wedding world. I guess if you love Birkenstocks you might be all in! The price, however is crazy! $3,500 Birkenstocks to wear at your wedding are now a thing. And grooms are not left out…there’s a sleek black version for $1200. As far as style…Miranda Priestly from “A Devil Wears Prada” would not approve. But if you are more about comfort, and price is no object, then these Birkenstocks
might be the answer. Plus if you’re having a beach wedding….these shoes would be perfect for walking in the sand.
A group of Llamas, turned heroes, after a would be thief tried to escape police by running through a field….only to be surrounded by a herd of llamas. The animals formed a circle around him and sounded the alarm until officers arrived.
Then we have Michelangelo’s sketch of a foot selling for over 27 million…an auction record. The drawing is barely bigger than a hand…. sketched using red chalk between 1508 and 1512.
A teacher who lost her sister in a tragic accident, is using her
siblings money to inspire students to give back. Every semester she gives them $20 to put toward a good deed of their choice. As word has gotten out, donations have poured in – helping hundreds of students do good deeds over the years.Local officials broke ground last week on a new pool and splash pad for the Brownsboro and Maysville communities. The project includes a swimming pool, splash pad, and a walking track open
to the public….and should be completed by the end of May.

Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.
Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!
About Bill:
Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!
Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!
As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.
When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
