Troopers from the Michigan State Police were dispatched last week for what might be one of the most unusual police calls of the year — to help find Dolly Parton…..a runaway miniature donkey by the same name. The little donkey slipped out of her pasture through an open gate and took herself for a stroll around town. Police and neighbors searched the area and eventually found her walking along a roadway, seemingly unfazed. Officers safely returned Dolly home, and unharmed. And as the real Dolly Parton would say “You’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try.”
A one armed golfer just got a hole in one…..and dunked it from 120 yards out. Patrick lost his left arm in a work accident and says taking up golf saved his life.
Florida is saving the Frozen Iguanas. It’s so cold there that the lizards are freezing and falling from trees. The state issued an emergency executive order, and set up several sites to drop them off.
A 91-year-old woman who’s had this huge, old-crock sitting on her porch for years. Betty thought it might be worth a hundred bucks. Turns out, it’s rare, from the 1800s..and sold at auction for $32,000.
Joey Chestnut is back in the headlines…this time for the recent bagel eating championship. He ate 16 and 7/8 bagels, with cream cheese, in 10 minutes. Joey just missed the world record of 17 and ¾ bagels and received $10,000.
Happy Headlines brought to you by the Orthopedic Center. TOC, helping you live a better life.
