June 9 – 13
It’s a pair of tickets to visit the Signals Museum for Abby & Bill’s trivia winners this week!
Check it out – signals-museum.org.

Known for doing his own stunts in movies….it has paid off for Tom
Cruise. And we’re not talking about the money. Tom just earned
a Guinness world record when he completed six jumps out of a
helicopter with his parachute on fire. The most burning parachute
jumps by an individual. In each of his 16 jumps, Cruise was strapped to a parachute that had been soaked in fuel and lit it on fire, before cutting himself free and deploying a backup. In a news release, The editor in chief of Guinness said “Tom doesn’t just play action heroes — he is an action hero!”

- Matt who bet his wife that he could do a hiking challenge carrying an 80lb fridge on his back AFTER his hip replacement surgery. Vicky died recently, but he still kept that bet in her honor, by carrying that fridge 70 miles across a mountain range.
- Then we have a beachgoer who recently found ashes in a bottle with a note that read my mom always wanted to travel the world but passed before she had the chance. Please throw her back in so she can finally get her wish. She’s been thrown back in the sea with another note inside that said “Happy Travels”.
- Did you hear about what happened at Mildred’s Restaurant in Ardmore? The owner gifted one of his long time employees a brand new car, and then gave a $10,000 bonus to split up amongst the rest of the staff.
- And this should make Smores lovers happy……McDonald’s is sent
to release a new Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry. But it’s only
available for a limited time…so gather around a campfire and
enjoy!

About Abby:
Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.
Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!
About Bill:
Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!
Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!
As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.
When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
