November 17 – 21
Abby & Bill have tickets before you can buy them to see Alex Warren! He’ll be at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on May 25, 2026!
Can you imagine the shock when an entire company, is fired by email? Yea it’s probably going to go down as one of the most chaotic corporate mix-ups of the year. Within seconds, around
300 employees received an email that began with the subject line “Your last working day is effective immediately.” There was panic, disbelief, and one manager messaged the team….”Should I start packing?” Turns out it was one BIG HR mixup! The IT
department was able to fix it within several minutes by sending out an urgent all-staff message in all caps, “NO ONE IS FIRED. PLEASE DO NOT TURN IN YOUR BADGES.” What a relief!
- Two Brothers saved an Atlanta cop from a burning patrol car after a crash. Officer Malik’s gun started firing due to the heat. But Ryan and Kashun quickly pulled the officer to safety, and were able to dodge the bullets. Ryan used Officer Malik’s radio to call for help.
- A casino in Virginia handed out 500 turkeys for their second annual “Thanksgiving Vibes Turkey Giveaway.” All the birds went to families of
cancer survivors. - Valentina’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar is hosting a free Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with no reservations or cost. It is
for anyone who needs a warm meal, including those facing hard times or far from family - And then we have the World’s Tallest Christmas Tree…In California: At 115 feet tall, the white fir has 10,000 ornaments and 18,000 lights. For
comparison, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is 75 feet tall.

About Abby:
Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.
Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!
About Bill:
Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!
Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!
As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.
When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
