Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh croissants in the morning — or really any time of the day. But do you love it so much that
you would wear it as a perfume? The grocery store chain, Lidl
(lee-dle) has teamed with a renowned Perfume specialist for a
limited-edition release of “Eau de Croissant”. The company says
the perfume “captures the warm, buttery aroma of a croissant straight from the oven”……and of course it comes in a croissant- shaped bottle that has a brown tint just like the golden tones of a
freshly baked croissant.  There is one catch…you have to register to win one… on Lidl’s (lee-dle) Instagram account… by December 18.

  • 400 people recently dressed as Santa to participate in a 5k Run and a toy drive in Colorado Springs recently. The event raised money for children battling cancer.

  • Folks attending the Christmas parade in Gatlinburg got a very big surprise! A Black Bear unexpectedly joined in….and just strolled along the parade route. Of course there were lots of pictures and cheers. The bear was unfazed by the crowd and eventually disappeared.

  • The Bass Pro Shop’s Wonders of Wildlife Museum announced a new arrival over the weekend….but it wasn’t one of the animal kinds…it was of the human kind. A mother went into Labor near one of their fish tanks…and the birth took 5 minutes. So no time to call an ambulance. Both mom and baby are doing great!

  • 242 Wings in 10 minutes…that’s how many competitive eater Joey
Chestnut devoured at recent Wing Eating Championship. Mostly known for eating hot dogs, Joey has now added wing eating to his repertoire and won $1,500.

About Abby:

Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.

Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!

About Bill:

Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!

Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!

As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.

When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
