In the midst of all the negative in the news, Abby will be bringing you some “Happy Headlines”, each weekday morning at 6:45 and 7:45am! Listen to hear some HAPPY news for a change!

It’s a morning show feature here on Mix 96.9…because I feel like we could all use a little more good news in our lives…all bad news has been CANCELLED – at least for the moment.

Presented by Cullman Regional Medical Center! Helping you get better by being better every day!

  1. A six-year-old girl was playing outside when she saw the roof of her home catch fire.  So she ran into the burning home to save her mom asleep on the couch along with her two-year-old sister and one-year-old brother.  The house was a total loss, but everyone made it out safely.
  2. A 100-Year-Old Time Capsule was recently found inside a home while doing some renovations. Jesse found artifacts and newspapers dating back to 1915. He plans to use the unearthed items to decorate his home and will attempt to cook in the 100 yr old cast iron skillet.
  3. A couple that eloped 60 years ago finally had their dream wedding:  Gary and Linda recently had the wedding ceremony with their eldest son officiating. Linda said it was a dream come true.
  4. And Firefighters saved a cat that got stuck between two walls earlier this week. The photo of the cat is going viral, because it didn’t seem to appreciate the help.  People are comparing it to Grumpy Cat.

April 15 – 19

It’s 4 tickets to Bloomin’ Fest in Cullman, April 20-21, for Abby & Bill’s Trivia winners this week!

It’s those news stories that are true, but on the “crazy” side, bringing sometime laughter, and other times leaving listeners scratching their heads! Crazy But True can be heard at 6:15 and 8:20 each weekday morning!

A volcano spewing gold every day. It’s Crazy But True…

On the snow covered continent of Antarctica there are hundreds of active volcanoes. Mount Erebus… of the most ferocious and tallest active volcanoes on the continent…. is expelling more than just smoke. It was reportedly found that this volcano is spewing out pockets of gas containing crystallized gold every day, worth around $6,000. This is an everyday occurrence. Scientists also said that the gold dust travels far and wide after researchers found traces of the gold more than 620 miles away from Mount Erebus. But good luck trying to get to this snow covered isolated location! A volcano spewing gold…

it’s Crazy But True!
